Kerrs Bakery Ltd was founded by Karen Murray, with some start up help from the Princes Scottish Youth Business Youth Trust, to manufacture Caramel Cake. From its small beginnings in Armadale, West Lothian it has become one of the main producers of Caramel Cake in Scotland from its base in Lanarkshire.
From its EFSIS accredited factory, the company produces a wide range of hand made caramel cakes and a range of popular confectionery products and cakes. All ingredients and Suppliers used are subjected to vigorous quality checks to ensure that the product is of the highest quality. The company also produce a number of own label and bespoke products for customers.
Products are distributed directly to a variety of establishments from small grocers, coffee shops, delicatessens, to supermarkets throughout United Kingdom by a number of wholesale distributors and a fleet of vans.
In 1999 Kerrs Bakery received runner up in the national PSYBT Competition in association with Royal Bank of Scotland for being the business that had the most potential growth and we have proved them right.
